ANALYSIS OF FEMALE STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATING IN THE USE OF ICT DEVICE IN GOMBE STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND LEGAL STUDIES, NAFADA

Abstract
Research will be conducted to examine the reasons for low ICT participation among female students, to examine the difference between gender of students and their use of ICT and to examine ways of encouraging female students’ participation in ICT. Research is also conducted to have indicated that there is a reasonable gap between the male and their female counterparts in terms of the usage of ICT devices. The situation may even be true for female students’ of the higher institution of learning. Even though, the use of ICT devices has been found to improve the quality of knowledge of both male and female students and their research work. This research intends to analyze the ways for encouraging female students to participate in the use of ICT device at Gombe State College of Education and Legal Studies Nafada. The view of each participant in the study will be analyzed thoroughly in accordance with the research paradigm, research questions, and the research design. Among the expected results of the study, the exact gap between the female and male students will be identified. Also, the results are expected to reveal areas of strengths and weaknesses for closing the ICT access gender gap in the college. In addition, the research methodology lays emphasis on analyzing how to fill up the identified gap. Then, the workability of the analysis would experiment within to come up with a more general recommendation to work for the large community. Moreover, the results of this study are expected to highlight open research areas to further studies.
