Abstract

This study focused on employee engagements and organizational competitiveness of international breweries firm in Rivers State, Nigeria. Two research objectives, two research questions and two research hypotheses guided the study. The study used survey research design, and questionnaire served as the instrument of data collection. The data collected in this study were analyzed using simple percentage and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) at 0.05% level of significance through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 21.0). It was discovered that there is significant relationship between employee training and organizational competiveness; and there is significant relationship between employee work schedules and organizational competiveness. The work recommends that managers of organizations should embraced high level of engagement (through training) with their staff at various level, it will help and aid staff to reach their full potential thereby promote the growth of the organization. Again, managers should try within their capacity to improve areas such as work scheduled, job security, benefits, etc. where employees feel a sense of contentment.
