Abstract
The study examined the relationship between facilities management quality and user satisfaction in urban green spaces (UGS) within Keffi Metropolis, Nasarawa State, and how these factors influence the likelihood of returning to these areas. Using a descriptive design and quantitative methods, researchers surveyed 278 visitors through a multistage sampling technique, analyzing the data with SPSS version 22. Key findings indicated that 77.8% of visitors’ willingness to return to UGS was linked to the quality of facilities management and user satisfaction. The analysis showed strong statistical significance (p-values of 0.000) for both factors, with beta values of 0.331 for facilities management and 0.635 for user satisfaction, indicating their respective influences. The study revealed a strong correlation between user satisfaction and the likelihood of revisiting green spaces. Recommendations for improvement include conducting user surveys and focus groups to identify specific needs, enhancing relaxation areas and pedestrian walkways, and maintaining playgrounds—identified as the most satisfying feature. Security measures and restroom facilities also ranked highly in satisfaction, highlighting the importance of maintaining these to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors.
